Club Med Kani - Vacation On Stilts

     I am not sure when these became popular, but I am loving them.  Bungalows on stilts.  The first ones I saw are in Bora Bora and it was love at first sight.  Still tryin' to make it there.

      Now, I have seen many resorts with the stilted accommodations so I guess there is a bit of competition with who has the most unique and appealing space above the water. 

   

This is my latest favorite - the way the stilted suites are laid out in the shape of a palm tree.  Neat, right?   This is Club Med Maldives - Kani,  in the Asia and Indian Oceans.  This sweet little paradise is exclusively reserved for Club Med guest, has 75 suites on stilts and is surrounded by natural vegetation and inhabited by the locals - multi-coloured birds.

There are even 'deluxe' suites. 

Beautiful, private and so inviting.
